i often think that photography can achieve better abstraction than i can with a pencil or brush / so I feel very drawn to it for that reason / in practice my photography is largely used in an archival way / trying to be an observer of myself and the happenings around me / grief, gladness, boredom, ordinary / looking back on it all makes me feel alive
